Easter IV

May 6, 2007 – Easter IV – Commemoration and Last Gospel of St. John Before the Latin Gate

Today is the First Sunday of the Month. The Blessing of Religious Articles follows all Masses. The Special Monthly Second Collection is for Our Seminary.

Alter Christus
The “little church” is in the vestibule this morning. the ushers are collecting alms for the Alter Christus Confraternity to support priests who might not otherwise receive help. Please be generous.

Tuesday – Apparition of St. Michael the Archangel
This feast commemorates an apparition of St. Michael on the summit of Monte Gargano, in Italy on the Adriatic coast, and the dedication of the sanctuary built on the site of the apparition.

For the Reign of the Sacred Heart
O Mary Immaculate, great Queen of Heaven and earth and our gentle advocate, deign, we beseech thee, to intercede for us. Ask God to send St. Michael and the holy Angels to ward off all the obstacles contrary to the reign of the Sacred Heart in our souls, our families, our country, and in the whole world.
And thou, O holy Michael, Prince of the Heavenly Hosts, from our hearts we beg thee to come to our aid.
Defend us against the rage of Satan, and through the divine poser bestowed upon thee by God, after securing victory for the Church here below, guide our souls to our eternal home. Amen.
St. Michael, First Champion of the Kingship of Christ, pray for us!

May Devotions
Each school day May Devotions are said at 3:10 PM – a short but sweet service to show our love for Our Lady. All are cordially invited to join us on school days.

Mother’s Day
Mother’s Day cards and the Mass remembrance enve-lopes are available from the ushers, in the vestibule and the Book Store.
