June 24, 2007 – Nativity of St. John the Baptist – Pentecost IV
Confessions will be heard before or during all Masses.
The St. Francis de Sales Scribes will meet at 10:45 AM, following the 9:00 AM High Mass, in the St. Thomas Aquinas classroom (first room on the left down the school hall). We will be having a special guest speaker. Anyone who writes or is interested in writing is welcome to attend.
Vespers & Benediction are at 4:45 PM.

Thirteen Tuesdays of St. Anthony
We continue our traditional summer devotion of the 13 Tuesdays of St. Anthony this week after the 11:30 AM and 5:45 PM Masses. Come to participate in this powerful devotion every Tuesday this Summer!

A Summer Literary Soireé
I wanted to repeat our Summer Literary Soiree several times during the past year, but just never could find the right time. Now, another year has come and gone, and I would like, again, to invite like-minded literature lovers to meet at church for reading and discussion this Tuesday at 7:00 PM (right after Mass and St. Anthony Devotions). We’ll be meeting to read and discuss good poetry, especially modern offerings. All are welcome and light refreshments will be served. Bring some “finger food” to share if you’d like, a favorite poem, but most of all bring yourself.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help
Wednesday, July 27th: N.B. – Please note the Special Time, 5:00 PM, for the Opening of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Triduum, followed by a Sermon and the Mass. Come to honor “Our Lady of the Passion” and discover why the Greeks call Her this, and why She truly is our Perpetual Help.

Ss. Peter & Paul
This Friday we celebrate the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul, as well as the 30th and 31st ordination anniversaries, respectively, of Fr. Cekada and Bishop Dolan.

Next Sunday
Next Sunday is the First Sunday of the Month and the Feast of the Most Precious Blood. The Blessing of Religious Articles follows all Masses. The Special Second Collection is for Our Seminary. Special Organ Vespers of the Most Precious Blood and Benediction are at our early time of 1:00 PM.

Set your missal: July 1st, Feast of the Most Precious Blood, with the commemorations of the Octave Day of St. John the Baptist and Pentecost V. Preface of the Holy Cross. Proper Last Gospel: Pentecost V.

Reminder
Parents, please remember to take your children to the bathroom before Mass. Children should only leave Holy Mass for an emergency, not for a little break from time to time. Children are forbidden to use the water fountain during Mass — parents and ushers please note! Our Blessed Savior suffered three hours of burning thirst at Calvary, which is the Mass.
Also, in general, don’t be afraid to give the little “angels” a swat when they are bad! A little discipline never hurt anyone. A lack of discipline hurts everyone!

Congratulations…to Joseph and Martha Schappacher on the Baptism of their daughter Martha Josephine, this morning before the 7:30 AM Mass.

The Book Store
Stop in and see the new Haydock Bible. Orders will be taken at $125.00 each.

Next Saturday – RUMMAGE SALE!
Next Saturday we are sponsoring our first annual Rummage Sale. Bring in your clean, labeled, sellable “treasures”, and help us raise funds to support our church and school. We are accepting rummage sale items all this next week.
