Pentecost X

August 5, 2007 -Pentecost X
Dedication of our Lady of the Snows

The blessing of religious articles follows all Masses at the communion rail.

The second collection is for our seminary.

The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed for a brief period of adoration after the 11:30 AM Mass. Vespers of the Transfiguration will be sung before the Blessed Sacrament Exposed at 1:00 PM, followed by Benediction.

Thirteen Tuesdays of St. Anthony
We continue our traditional summer devotion of the Thirteen Tuesdays of St. Anthony this week at the11:30 AM and 5:45 PM Masses. St.
Anthony is a powerful, universal intercessor. Bring your needs to him!

This week
Tomorrow we observe the great feast of Our Lord’s Transfiguration, a feast of faith and adoration, with a special Mass at 11:30. St. Cajetan comes on Tuesday (paired with St. Anthony) a saint not so much known here, but beloved in South America, as he helps the jobless and poor. Remember the Fourteen Holy Helpers? We should not forget them on Wednesday. Thursday is our turn to pray for our “parish priests” as we honor their patron, the Cure’ of Ars. On Friday we open our annual Triduum to St. Philomena before the 5:45 PM Mass in honor of St. Lawrence, Rome’s patron saint. She desperately needs his help today. Let charity and piety motivate an extra Mass.
Finish the week with Our Lady on Saturday, as we continue St. Philomena’s Triduum.

Prayers please!
Please remember Tim and Gayle Bischel and their family. Pray too for the repose of the soul of Ivan Landry, son of Joan Landry, who died last Saturday. Finally, please pray or one of our devout faithful of Milwaukee, David Heckenkamp, who was buried from St. Hugh’s this past Friday.

Next Sunday
Set your missal: August 12th-Mass of Pentecost XI with the
commemoration of St. Clare. Preface: The Holy Trinity.

Knights of the Sacred Heart & St. Angela Merici Girls’ Group
