Rosary Sunday

October 8, 2006 – Rosary Sunday – Pentecost XVIII – St. Bridget, W

The Masses today are of the Solemnity of the Most Holy Rosary (October 7th) with the commemoration and Last Gospel of Pentecost XVIII.

The Rosary Confraternity will lead the outdoor procession after the 9:00 AM High Mass. The Annual Rosary Confraternity Communion Breakfast follows the Mass and procession.

Rosaries will be blessed (with all indulgences) at all Masses.

Vespers are at 4:30 PM, with Exposition, October Devotions, and Benediction following Vespers.

In your charity…

Elizabeth (Betty) Richter, a dear and long-time member of St. Gertrude the Great, died this past week. Her wake will be Tuesday morning in Helfta Hall at 10:30 AM. The Rosary will be at 11:15 AM followed by the Requiem High Mass at 11:30 AM.

Also please remember to pray for the repose of the soul of Mr. Thomas “Rocky” Teets, husband of Colleen and brother-in-law of Larry and Anne Brugger. Bishop Dolan performed his funeral yesterday in Urbana.

Remember to pray as well for Father Francis LeBlanc. Bishop Dolan sang the pontifical Requiem High Mass for him on Wednesday this past week in Phoenix.

Finally, in your charity, please pray for all of our sick and shut-in, especially for the father of Linda Campbell, who is seriously ill.

October Devotions
