Easter Sunday

March 23, 2008 – Easter Sunday.
A very blessed Easter to each of you, dear faithful, friends, family and visitors. You are all remembered in a special way in our Masses today. Let us remember with gratitude the many, many who have helped for an hour or a hundred hours, so that all of you may enjoy this rich Easter beauty which you see and hear in our Lord’s House today. God reward our sacristans, staff, singers, organist, servers, cooks, clean-up crews and everyone who helped. I thank especially the devoted ladies who prepared meals for our seminarians during Holy Week, and the Holy Saturday complimentary luncheon. Vespers are at 4:00 PM this afternoon, and Benediction follows the 11:30 AM Mass. There is no 5:45 PM Mass this evening. May Our Lord indeed bless you all with His Easter victory!—Bishop Dolan, Fr. Cekada, Fr. Saavedra, Fr. Ramolla

The Easter Octave
All our efforts and prayers do not come to a crashing close on Easter Morn. We are meant to give God thanks for the Resurrection of His Son, and taste the sweet fruits of victory throughout this glorious octave. In particular, Monday and Tuesday of Easter Week should be solemnized as they are Feasts of Devotion. Mass times are Monday at 11:25 AM and Tuesday at 11:25 AM and 5:00 PM.

Next Sunday
First Vespers of the Feast of the Annunciation and Benediction at 1:10 PM. Set your missal: March 30th. Low Sunday, Vidi Aquam sung instead of Asperges. Pref: Easter.

Congratulations!
Our prayers and best wishes to Samuel Phillips who was baptized, on Holy Saturday at our beautiful Easter Vigil service and also to his parents, Kingsley and Patience Uwuigbe.

The Rosary Confraternity will meet at 10:00 AM in front of the Auburn Avenue Abortion clinic to pray the Rosary on Saturday, March 29th. A light breakfast will follow the 8:00 AM Mass before proceeding to the abortion clinic.
