Please consult the calendar for times. Please note that on Friday there are no evening services due to the Pontifical Vigil ceremonies on Saturday. The Sacred Heart Novena and Benediction follow the 11:25 AM Mass. Saturday is the great Pentecost Vigil. Pray for our Confirmands.

Thursday, May 8th

Children should be in Sunday clothes and have a prayer book and rosary with them. The day ends with May Devotions and Benediction at 2:45 PM – Parents are invited!

Vigil of Pentecost
Saturday, May 10th, is the Vigil of Pentecost, a day of Fast and Partial Abstinence. You are invited to the beautiful Vigil of Pentecost Mass and ceremonies of Confirmation beginning at 8:00 AM. After Mass, there will be the enrollment in the Brown Scapular and individual photos taken.

Easter Duty
Trinity Sunday, two weeks from today, is the last day on which to fulfill your Easter Duty of a worthy Holy Communion. Those who neglect this duty are no longer Catholics in good standing and sin mortally. Pray and offer sacrifices these next two weeks for all to make a good Confession and Communion.

Next Sunday
Pentecost. Set your missal: Pentecost Sunday; Vidi Aquam; Preface of the Holy Ghost; Proper Hanc igitur & Communicantes. Special early Pentecost Vespers, May Devotions, and Benediction at 1:10 PM. Be sure to turn your envelopes in for the 9:00 AM high Mass Mother’s Day Remembrance.

Upcoming Events
Boys Summer Camp July 22-24. This year’s camp will last three days and two nights. Volunteers are needed to help supervise. Please see Fr. Saavedra for details.

Prayers, Please
Please remember Rita Ritze in your prayers. Please pray for all of our sick, especially the mother of Lexi Briggs, Barbara Schmeltzer, who is seriously ill.

Congratulations
Our best wishes go to the family of Poncho and Emily Capetillo, who enthroned the Sacred Heart as King of Love in their home last Saturday.
